When the weather outside is magical
Laughter fills the air
My younger self I see playing
Snow scattered on tiny wisps of hair
Her smile so wide not a care
A feeling so fleeting, so rare
Oh how life seems so simple down there
When the weather outside is magical
Reality can hold on a minute
For now there is the opportunity to live it
This life we so often bin it
Time to change the
Meticulously planned, scheduled, and with it
The joy of the spontaneous spirit
When the weather outside is magical
It makes makes me want to fall in love
I’d put my hand into yours
It would fit snug
Like the glove
That keeps away the cold
More so than usual with you there to hold
But when the weather outside stops
My heart drops
Thawing snow
With it my hope will go
Of ever experiencing the feelings
Only in my head I know
Those thoughts that take me far
They keep my heart ajar
Yearning for the past
That these moments may last into
My future
